Employees at Bay Breeze Health and Rehabilitation Center in Venice are on a 24 hour strike to protest low pay.
Nurses, housekeeping staff, and food service workers are demanding a $15 an hour minimum wage.
The walk out comes on a “national day of action,” where low paid workers all over the nation are protesting.
It also comes after six months of contract negotiations between Bay Breeze Health and Rehab Center workers and management went nowhere.
