Valentine’s Day Robber Caught

Police have arrested 38-year-old Kevin Scott Wolfe of St. Petersburg for a Valentine’s Day robbery spree.

According to detectives in the early morning hours of February 14th, Wolfe was driving his mother’s minivan and allegedly ran his victims off the road or rear-ended them.

When they stopped to look at the damage, he would rob them at knife point.

Police were able to find Wolfe after his mother reported her van missing and the description of the missing van matched the description of Mr. Wolfe in the reported robberies.

Once arrested, Wolfe admitted to the three robberies on Valentine’s Day and two others.

When asked why he did it, he said he needed the money for cocaine.  He also told detectives that he had seen this type of robbery method of rear-ending motorists on television.
