Feds Give FL Money For Rape Kit Testing

Florida will get more than $3 million in federal money to test a backlog of five thousand rape kits across the state.

The money comes from fines against international banks that violated U.S. sanctions. not taxpayers.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi says testing the kits not only helps convict rapists, but DNA results can often be used to link the rapist to other crimes.
