UCF Police Investigating Off-Campus Student Home Invasion

The Orlando Sentinel reports that police at the University of Central Florida are investigating an armed home invasion at Knight’s Circle, a university-affiliated, off-campus student housing apartment complex.

Police were called about 9:40 p.m. after a gunman walked into an open apartment.

The victim’s roommate alerted a resident assistant who works inside the building. The resident assistant called police, according to Chad Binette, UCF spokesman.

The apartment complex is on Alafaya Trail near the UCF campus. According to an alert sent to students, no one was injured but the suspect escaped the area near building 29. No shots were fired.
