U.S. Military Conducts Airstrike Against ISIS in Iraq

TAMPA, Fla. – U.S. military forces continued to attack ISIS terrorists in Iraq, using a mix of attack, bomber and fighter aircraft to conduct eleven airstrikes Wednesday and today.

One airstrike west of Irbil struck ISIS fighters and damaged an ISIS armed vehicle. Five airstrikes south of Kirkuk struck ISIS fighters, destroyed an ISIS tank, an ISIS vehicle and an ISIS Humvee, and damaged two ISIS armed vehicles. Five airstrikes west of Baghdad destroyed an ISIS Humvee, four checkpoints, a fighting position, two guard towers, and a command post.

The strikes were conducted as part of the President’s comprehensive strategy to degrade and destroy ISIS.
