Two people of the same household were arrested Thursday and charged with uttering a forged instrument.
Jimeka Denay Spillman, 25, and Jimmiel Leigh Engram, 26, were at their home in Land O’ Lakes and charged with one count each. The two women have passed numerous fake $100 bills at a number of Pasco County businesses.
On April 28, the two attempted to pass several fake $100 bills at a Lutz Walmart. The suspects were successful at buying an $85 phone card, but, during that same visit, store members recognized the phony money as they attempted a separate purchase of additional items.
Those employees refused to accept the payment and later identified the woman, leading to Thursday morning’s arrest.
