MIAMI (AP) – Tropical Storm Danny has formed in the Atlantic Ocean but remains well out to sea.
The storm is the Atlantic’s fourth named storm of the season.
Today, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said it’s located about 1,595 miles east of the Windward Islands.
It has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and is moving west at 12 mph.
The storm currently poses no threat to land; there are no watches or warnings in effect.
Forecasters expect Danny to continue strengthening over the next two days.
