Three Florida residents were pronounced dead at the scene in two separate car accidents from Saturday night to early Sunday morning.

The first incident was located in Largo and involved two pedestrians who walked into the path of an oncoming sport utility vehicle. Florida Highway Patrol says the two were walking westbound on the south side of the intersection at 66th Street and 126th Avenue N in Largo around 7:45 PM before the accident occurred.

The names of the 50-year-old male and the 55-year-old female who died at the scene have not been released. The driver of the SUV, Lonnie Ray Baumback, 65, was headed northbound in the center lane of 66th Street, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities say that Baumback had a green light to go through the intersection.

No charges have been filed.

The second incident involved a 20-year-old man from Wesley Chapel. The Pasco county resident lost control of his vehicle early Sunday morning and crashed into a tree.

Identified as Anderson Arias, the man was driving east on Curley Road around 3:10 AM. He over-corrected when his car’s right tires ran onto the grassy shoulder which caused the car to spin counter-clockwise, shoot across the road, and slam into a tree on the opposite shoulder. Arias was driving a 2005 Honda Accord and the tires ran into the shoulder just before Kiefer Road, where a slight curve exists, the median ends and the roadway narrows.

Arias was also pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
