Ten Injured in Orlando City Bus Accident

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ The Florida Highway Patrol says 10 people were injured when a Lynx bus was involved in a crash with two other vehicles in Orlando.

The crash happened Wednesday afternoon. Troopers say the driver of a 1996 Grand Am sped out from a stop sign.

FHP spokeswoman Kim Montes says bus driver Bynee Butler took evasive action but didn’t have time to stop.

Authorities say the bus struck the Grand Am and another vehicle.

Ten people were taken to area hospitals with varying injuries.

The Orlando Sentinel (http://thesent.nl/QpJ8z6 ) reports the drivers of all three vehicles, one passenger in a car and six other people on the bus were injured.

Another person was treated at the scene.

Montes says 18-year-old Keeshay Pruitt was ticketed for failure to yield to right of way.
