Teens were on way to conduct school shooting

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended three teens Thursday afternoon after they received information they were on their way to conduct a shooting at a local high school.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrested Darius Anthony Fuches, 19, of Tampa; Marquez D-Magio O’Quendo, 18, of Temple Terrace; and a 15-year-old juvenile during a traffic stop around 2:06 p.m., at 6906 North 56th St., after deputies found two weapons in the back of the car.

Deputies say they had received information the teens were going to conduct a shooting at King High School. O’Quendo is also a student at the school.

A .22 caliber handgun was found in the back seat and a Rossi .38 handgun was found under the front passenger seat.

Fuches and O’Quendo were taken to Orient Road Jail and charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm. The juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center and charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm.
