Sexting – sending sexually explicit pictures electronically using a smart phone – is more prevalent than we think. Researchers now say it could have an effect on their sex life leading to increased sexual activity for teens.

Surveying over a thousand high school students over two consecutive years, researchers found sexting may precede and be the gateway to sexual activity.
