ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Authorities are working to identify human remains found by a 15-year-old walking through the woods in northeast Florida.
The St. Johns County sheriff’s office said the skeletal remains were discovered Sunday by a boy who was looking for fishing bait in a pond off State Route 16.
Sheriff’s detectives say there were no obvious signs of foul play.
The remains were taken to the medical examiner’s office for investigation and identification.
