The teachers aide at Tenorac High School in Lakeland is accused of paying students for sex.
Authorities said 30-year-old Curtis Leonard Jiles, a paraprofessional/teacher’s aide,was wanted on eight charges involving four boys who were under his authority, and law enforcement authorities had sought the public’s help in locating him since Friday.
Detectives say he paid two male students to let him perform oral sex on them, and he tried to do the same with two other male students.
The students were between the ages of 15 and 17, detectives said. Investigators believe there are more victims.
Jiles faces two counts of sexual battery by a person in custodial authority, unlawful sexual activity with minors, two counts of procuring a person under 18 for prostitution, two counts of procuring a person under 18 for attempted prostitution and soliciting a person under 18 to engage in sexual battery.
Jiles is a husband and father of four.
