Tampa’s Platt Street Bridge Re-opens

It’s been three months of frustration for some Tampa Bay commuters, but today’s a good day for those who are use to using the Platt Street Bridge.

Officials say about 30,000 drivers us the bridge and that means a lot of happy drivers this morning.

The bridge has been under construction to replace all the working mechanisms.

Officials said construction on other parts of the bridge which is 85-years-old, will continue, but the roadway will be open to traffic.

Driver who use the bridge will notice a couple of new things added.  There are new traffic signals, a new bike lane and a new median.
