UCF Students Making Bionic Arms For Syrians

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ University of Central Florida engineering students who have used 3-D printers to make prosthetic arms for children with missing limbs want to help children in Syria.

The nonprofit group founded by the UCF students, Limbitless Solutions, is holding a fundraiser in Orlando to pay for 75 prosthetic arms for children maimed in the conflict in Syria.

The students hope to raise $40,000, and they will deliver the prosthetic arms to Syrian children in need starting next year.

The engineering students have delivered eight arms to children since last year. The arms typically cost $350 to make and are given to the children without charge.
