Tampa police are investigating a sexual battery that occured early Saturday morning. The incident is said to have occurred in the area of North Rome Avenue and West Arch Street, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The victim is a 20-year-old woman who said she was walking to a friend’s house alone when it happened. She said a man forced her into the bushes, sexually battered her and then fled.
The victim was not able to describe the scene or the suspect in detail, so the investigation continues.
