According to FHP, deputies were called to the Veteran’s Expressway just before 1:30 a.m. after reports of a driver heading southbound in the northbound lanes. Police stopped 23-year-old Megan Luginsland of Tampa near State Road 60.
Additional units arrived and a trooper conducted a DUI check, and Luginsland was subsequently arrested after blowing a .12 BAC.
Luginsland tells troopers she left a bar on Dale Mabry Highway and entered the Veterans Expressway in the wrong direction. She exited and then re-entered again in the wrong direction at an unknown location.
She was thankfully stopped before causing a wreck.
