The Tampa Police Department has arrested an off duty officer Thursday morning on DUI charges.
According to police, 32-year-old officer Anton Lipski was arrested after crashing his car early at about 1:39 a.m. Thursday. He was driving his personal car, a 2004 Silver Acura, and two people witnessed the accident.
Lipski was driving north on Highland Avenue and hit the median on Violet Street. He failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of .180.
He was hired in March of 2013 and is currently suspended without pay.
