TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Police say a man has been critically injured after being struck by a CSX freight train in Tampa.
The Tampa Bay Times reports Tampa police responded to the incident around 5 p.m. Sunday. Police say the man was taken to a nearby hospital and is in “extremely critical condition.”
Lt. Ricardo Ubinas says there are no initial signs of foul play and that officials are approaching the investigation as an accident.
The identity of the man has not been immediately released and police have not provided additional information about the incident.
