According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a Tampa garbage truck driver began running his route when he heard yelling and banging coming from the back. The driver pulled over and discovered Donald. L Jordan, 37, and Lisa Spirella, 49 inside. The couple had somehow fallen asleep inside a dumpster at the WaWa gas station at Orient Road and Hillsborough Avenue.
EMS units responded to help the pair out of the truck. Both were transported to TGH complaining of back pain. It was originally believed that they were homeless, but according to deputies, they were just very intoxicated after a night out at the casino.
