Update: According to WTSP, police have obtained high-quality video that allows them to get a better look at the SUV that is responsible in this case.

Detectives have obtained video from a second surveillance camera Monday night in the case of the 4-year-old boy “falling” out of a car and suffering fatal injuries.

Detectives have obtained the original video from a second surveillance camera, however it does not provide 100% certainty of how the young boy ended up in the roadway. Based on the injuries to the child, the physical evidence at the scene, the witness statements and different camera angles, it appears the child was the victim of a hit and run or a traffic crash. It is possible that the driver did not realize the child was hit.

Detectives are working to obtain a higher resolution version of the video. In the meantime, the Tampa Police Department is still searching for the dark green, possibly black, 2000-2004 Ford Expedition.

Investigators are working to enhance the video to the release later today.

According to Tampa police, citizens have called in several new leads on the vehicle involved due to the extensive media coverage.

Detectives are working to identify the driver of a dark green, possibly black, 2000-2004 Ford Expedition.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers 1-800-873-tips or the Tampa Police Department 813 231-6130.
