According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, 15-year-old Shaquanna Poole punched a teacher, 31-year-old Carrie Andreev, Thursday morning.
As Master Deputy Andrew Deluna was arresting her around 10:00 a.m., she resisted arrest and injured Deluna, who suffered multiple lacerations to both arms from Poole’s fingernail. The deputy had help from other teachers and eventually got Poole into custody. Deluna is a 15-year veteran of the Sheriff’s office.
Poole suffered no injuries and was charged with Battery on a Specified Employee (Teacher), Battery on a LEO and Resist Arrest with Violence.
