‘Deadpool’ Frightens Patrons At Tampa Pool

Tampa police arrested a man Thursday afternoon dressed as Marvel character Deadpool, who they say pointed a fake gun at people in a pool located at 4120 West Mango Avenue. The pool is just across the street from Robinson High School in Tampa.

Police say at 2:50 p.m., the victim ran off and called 9-1-1 in fear of his safety. Police arrived on scene in two minutes and as the suspect, 24-year-old Justin Duarte of 3902 North Ola Avenue, was about to leave the scene in a vehicle, police took him into custody. Duarte is charged with one count of aggravated assault.

They found two fake guns upon searching him.
