Police Investigate Two Shootings In Tampa

Tampa Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred simultaneously Thursday night in the West Tampa area.

The first shooting occurred at 10:32 p.m. at 909 W. Grace St. and the second shooting occurred at 10:43 p.m. at the intersection of W. Main St. and N. Fremont Ave.

Police say both victims are adults and both suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds and have been transported to the hospital for treatment. The victim of the first shooting has been identified as Freddy D. Benson of Tampa. No age was provided. Police say he sustained a minor gunshot wound to his foot. Police did not specify any suspects.

The victim of the second shooting has been identified as 24-year-old Diamario Lofton and he suffered a minor gunshot wound to the face. Again, no suspects have been named.
