Mulberry High School English teacher Jason Argo…charged with sexual battery after admitting he had sex with a 15 year old female student in his classroom and at his home. The 34 year old’s wife was pregnant at the time.

Marion County Sheriff Chris Blair, indicted on perjury and misconduct charges. Blair allegedly lied during an investigation into excessive force by his deputies. He could get prison and fines if convicted. Blair is out of jail on bond.

24 year old Sebastian Ochoa, in jail for stealing 200 thousand dollars worth of prescription pills from Vanguard Advance Pharmacy in Bradenton where he worked. The Manatee Avenue East pharmacy called police when drugs started to go missing. Ochoa says he’s an addict. But he’s charged with trafficking.

A Sanford woman is accused of illegally doing silicone injections on at least five people, killing one. 46 year old Deanna Roberts falsely claimed to be a medical professional. A transgender performer ended up dying from complications from the injections.

St. Petersburg Police are looking for whoever spray-painted political, racist, and sexist words and images on three buildings at the School of the Immaculata. The 13th Avenue North private school was closed for the day so the graffitti could be removed.

Florida’s unemployment rate, now down to 4.8 percent, an eight year low. The state added more than 31 thousand total jobs in April. Low paying leisure and hospitality positions still lead Florida’s job growth.

Tampa Bay home prices, up 12 percent in the past year thanks to a home shortage. Single family homes are now averaging 190 thousand dollars. But local home sales are up just 4 percent in the past year.

Parents of a 5 year old are suing a Wesley Chapel KinderCare for negligence after their son came home multiple times with injuries. They say they repeatedly told staff to keep older kids away from little Aidan Stallone because they played too rough and were hurting him, but it kept happening.
