There has been an apparent drowning at Harborage Marina on 3rd Street S in St. Petersburg. A 43 year old man who lives on a boat there was found face down near the dock this morning.

A 3 year old boy found wandering around the King of the Road mobile home park in St. Petersburg overnight has been re-united with his parents. There is no word how the child got out of his home. Police are investigating but do not expect charges.

A new light is going up at the Lakeland intersection where a Jenkins High student was hit and killed by a car recently. 17 year old Kalen Kirk was struck as he ran across Clubhouse Road to  his school  bus stop at Clubhouse and Andros Boulevard.

An East River High lacrosse player who was hit in the head with a stick during a game is now suing Orange County, the Florida High School Athletic Association, and the player who hit her. Kendalle Holley claims the hit caused a traumatic brain injury and she still has headaches from it.

Most Florida voters are for medical marijuana. A new Quinnipiac Poll says 71 percent of Republicans and 87 percent of Democrats think pot is OK for patients with illnesses like cancer, AIDS, Crohn’s, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis. The last ballot question on whether to legalize medical marijuana failed.

Investigators are looking for the cause of a morning fire at the old Sinderella’s Boutique on East Fowler Avenue in Tampa. One firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the blaze.

There will be no charges against the man who slammed his car into a 94th Avenue N home in Pinellas Park.  Authorities say he lost control when he had a medical episode behind the wheel.

A former Daytona Beach police officer will not face jail time for groping a handcuffed woman. But 23 year old Larry Jones did get two years probation and can never work in Florida law enforcement again.

Another Clearwater Fire-Rescue lieutenant is being investigated after allegations that his girlfriend stays in his fire station dorm room with him. He is the fourth lieutenant investigated for misconduct in four years.
