It’s four years in prison for the wife and office manager of a Pinellas Park pill mill doctor. Kim Feldman laundered millions of dollars her husband made writing pain pill prescriptions to addicts. At least 3 of those addicts overdosed and died on pills they got from Doctor Edward Feldman. He got 25 years in prison.

An 11 month old girl dies after being left for hours in her parents’ hot car outside a Hialeah home. Police say car was not running and temperatures were in the mid-80’s. No word on charges.

Two adults and two children are recovering from smoke inhalation after an overnight fire at their Carillon Place apartment off Burns Avenue in Lake Wales. Their unit was destroyed and the rest of the building has serious damage. Investigators are looking for the cause.

Still no sign of a Maryland man missing since Friday when the 23 foot boat he was on capsized off Cedar Key. Florida Fish and Wildlife continues to search for Gilbert Valdes because he was wearing a life jacket. Two other men with Valdes were rescued Saturday.

Could be drama early in the Atlantic hurricane season. AccuWeather predicts tropical development off Florida’s east coast right around June 1st. AccuWeather projects an above-average number of tropical storms and hurricanes in the Atlantic this year.

St. Petersburg, one of the worst cities in America for skin cancer. Finance website WalletHub says St. Pete’s skin cancer death rate is more than 7 out of every 100 thousand. And the city has few dermatologists and skin care centers. Cities with the fewest skin cancer cases considered in the study—sun soaked El Paso, San Antonio, and Austin Texas.

A bay area farm that supplies tomatoes to local grocery stores is fined 1.4 million dollars for hiring foreign workers over American workers and paying those foreign workers more. The U.S. Labor Department says Red Diamond Farms used a federal program to replace American workers with foreign workers when the program only allows foreigners to supplement U.S. workers.

260 jobs are coming to Humana in Tampa. The health insurer needs phone sales and enrollment assistance agents. 60 of the positions are full time and permanent. 200 are full time but only up to 6 months. New hires will work out of Humana’s East Hillsborough Avenue call center.

Tampa finds out today if it gets to host a Super Bowl in 2019, 2020, or 2021. Other cities competing for the big game all or some of those years are Miami, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Tampa officials hope multi-million dollar renovations going on at Raymond James Stadium will help clinch a date.
