Man Brings Gun To Lightning Game

Tampa Police are saying that security at Amalie Arena failed to properly screen fans and visitors of the Lightning’s game 3 of their playoff series with the Montreal Canadiens last night. Police arrested 27 year old Lucas Cassidy of St. Petersburg for having a pistol inside Amalie Arena during the Lightning game. Officers were alerted that Cassidy was carrying the gun inside the arena by someone who saw it fall out of his pants while he was using the restroom. Now Cassidy has a concealed weapons permit, but Florida law does not allow people to bring weapons in to professional sporting events, whether they have a permit or not. He’s facing a second-degree misdemeanor charge.

The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Montreal Canadiens last night 2 to 1. And they did is with a last second score by Tyler Johnson. Litterally. He scored the winning goal with just 1.1 seconds left on the clock. The Lightning now lead the best of seven series 3 – 0. The next game and their chance to win the Eastern Conference Semi Finals will be tonight (Thursday) at home in Tampa at the Amalie Arena.
