Tampa Police officers arrested James Reece, 36, for committing a sexual battery act on a juvenile victim under the age of sixteen.
The police investigation began when family members reported that the suspect was sexually involved with the victim, who is also related to the Reece.
Detectives took the suspect into custody and interviewed him about his involvement with the victim.
They determined that a sexual battery did take place and charged the suspect with one count of first-degree Sexual Battery.
The suspect was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail without incident.
