Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on scene of a structure fire at 12731 University Club Dr.
Police say the initial call came in at 11:48 am and that the cause of the fire may be a lightning strike.
Lightning was the cause of the fire in unit 12820, which contains eight apartments. Ladder 5 was able to extinguish the flames from both the exterior and interior.
Firefighters pulled down the ceiling and other affected apartments to search for extension of flames.
HCFR’s Office of Emergency Management is on scene as well as Code Enforcement and Red Cross to assist the residents.
