Iconic Spaghetti Warehouse Set To Close Next Week

TAMPA, Fla.- It is a sad day for spaghetti lovers as the Spaghetti Warehouse in Ybor City has announced they will be closing for good next week.

Yes, this time it is for real. Earlier this year the restaurant had announced they would be closing for business reasons, but they decided to remain open after receiving an outpouring of support from customers.

Unfortunately on Monday Spaghetti Warehouse made the announcement that the restaurant would close for good at the end of the business day on Sunday October 2nd. The company released the following statement:

“Within the past several months, we have made every effort to remain open. Because of the overwhelming response and support we received from the community, we made an emotional decision to continue serving our guests with the hope we could experience a turnaround and find a replacement location.

However, these events did not happen for us and the decision we have made, at this time, is to proceed with closing this location.  And, we remain hopeful to open another location in the Tampa market in the future.

We are working closely with everyone on our staff whose hard work and dedication is appreciated and we thank them for their many contributions.

To our many guests and to everyone throughout the Tampa community, we say, again, thank you. We enjoyed serving you, your family and friends. And, it was our pleasure to celebrate your many birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.”

The Spaghetti Warehouse in Ybor City is the only Florida location of the restaurant. There are 12 Spaghetti Warehouse restaurants in Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma and New York.

The restaurant has operated in Ybor City for over 25 years and is located in a building that was once the home of the largest cigar factory in the country.
