CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Two pedestrians died after being struck by a hit and run driver on Clearwater’s Memorial Causeway.
Police say the crash happened just after 8 p.m. Sunday when a westbound vehicle hit a man and a woman and kept driving.
According to police, the victims were taken to a hospital, where they later died.
Clearwater police say the vehicle that struck them may be a silver Mercedes with front-end damage. They are searching for the vehicle.
The victims’ names have not been released.
