According to the Sheriff’s Department, the three men, who they say are all black, walked into the McDonald’s located at 4650 McIntosh Road at 3:10 Friday morning and took cash. Police say all three of them were armed.
During the robbery, one employee was pushed to the floor by the suspects and was complaining of injury. They were transported to a hospital to be checked out.
After grabbing the cash, the suspects fled the scene in a silver Nissan Altima. A deputy in the area spotted the vehicle and the suspects fled to the Plant City area. Police say there was no pursuit.
Deputies located the three men in Plant City in the area of Alexander Street where all of them bailed from the car and fled on foot. One suspect was apprehended near the car and a second, who was armed, was located by a K-9 and taken into custody.
HCSO and Plant City PD are still searching for the third suspect. Deputies recovered cash and weapons in the vehicle.
