A 13-year-old girl was cut in a Tampa middle school cafeteria as a result of an argument during lunch Friday afternoon.
Hillsborough County deputies report that 15-year-old Tymiek James was arrested after he became engaged in an argument around noon Friday and slashed the girl with a pocket knife at Dowdell Middle Magnet School, 1208 Wishing Well Way in Tampa.
The victim was cut in the thigh area. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
James was arrested on campus with the pocket knife in his pants pocket and booked into the Hillsborough County Juvenile Assessment Center. She’s charged with aggravated battery with a weapon, possession of a weapon on school grounds and carrying a concealed weapon.
