Florida House Bill Aims To Outlaw Outdoor Gun Ranges

A homemade outdoor shooting range in a Tampa Bay neighborhood has caused some problems with the state’s legislature, as now it is not sure as to whether or not Floridians should be allowed to have this.

What many do not know is that the state allows people to shoot pistols and rifles outside their house, but the Tampa Tribune reports that state representative Darryl Rouson plans on getting rid of this issue and outlawing these types of setups.

The state doesn’t necessarily agree with Rouson, though, as the gun lobby believes the law is fine as it is and the blame instead falls on local police departments for not enforing the rule.

Rouson is a St. Petersburg resident, and the fact that he is a Democrat could lead to an uncertain future in a Republican-controlled legislature.
