According to Tampa Fire Rescue, Sinderella’s Boutique located at 330 E. Fowler Avenue was totally engulfed in flames at about 2:57 a.m. The blaze was under control a half hour later.
A fire marshal has ruled the fire an arson. Someone entered the business and lit flammable liquid that had been poured all over. The suspect fled the scene.
Damage is estimated at $115,000.
Westbound Fowler Avenue was closed from I-275 to N. Florida Avenue as a result of the fire.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to return to full duty. There were no other injuries reported.
