Veteran’s Expressway backed up due to construction
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the southbound outside lane of SR-589 (Veteran’s Expressway) between Linebaugh Ave. and Waters Ave. is closed while crews work to repair erosion damage.
Contractors are working to repair the roadway damaged overnight by heavy rains. If all goes well, you can expect the roadway to be reopened by 3 p.m. this afternoon. Currently, traffic is moving slowly in the inside lane while the outside lane remains closed. Current congestion southbound is approximately two miles.
