According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Chad Michael Weber of Phoenix, AZ backed a 2016 Ford Mustang into a gas pump at Wawa located at 804 Bearss Avenue at 2:19 a.m.
The pump burst into flames and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called out to extinguish it.
Deputies determined Weber’s BAC was 0.180 and 0.174.
Weber caused about $3,000 worth of damage to the Mustang, which was a rental vehicle. He was arrested without incident and transported to Orient Road Jail, charged with Driving Under the Influence with Property Damage.
