A depression has formed in the center of the road on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Tampa.
Tampa police say the depression is in front of St. Joseph’s Hospital and all lanes eastbound on MLK are closed. There is a detour at N. MacDill Ave and one of the two lanes of westbound MLK is closed near Habanna Ave.
Inspectors from the Public Works Department are enroute to inspect the roadway and begin repairs.
All entrances to St. Joseph’s Hospital remain open and unaffected. The roads remain closed Tuesday night and some of Wednesday morning.
At least one car was damaged. There were no injuries, police say.
