Orignial Story:
Winter Haven Police want your help in identifying two suspects who attacked a customer at Applebee’s. Just before 2 o’clock Tuesday morning, the victim, 30 year-old Anthony Williams of Winter Haven was sitting in the bar area of Applebees, located at 201 Cypress Gardens Blvd. in Winter Haven. There were other patrons at the bar as well.
Two men sitting at the end of the bar got into a verbal altercation with Williams. It is unknown exactly what the altercation was about. The three exchanged words and the two suspects walked over to Williams and the argument continued. The manager stepped in and it appeared the two suspects were going to leave the restaurant.
When Williams got up to head towards the door, one of the suspects (in the video, he is wearing a black t-shirt) had hidden in a corner just off the walkway to the bar area in an obvious attempt to ambush Williams. As Williams walked through the opening, the suspect jumped him and started punching and kicking him. The other suspect, who had walked outside, immediately re-entered the restaurant and joined in by punching and kicking Williams as well.
The altercation goes on for roughly 20 seconds when the manager again steps in and breaks up the fight. Although roughed up, Williams sustained only minor injuries and required no medical attention.
Anyone who recognizes either of the two suspects is asked to call Winter Haven Police
