Bomb Threat Over At Moffitt Cancer Center

A bomb threat is now over at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

Just after 7:00 p.m. Friday, Police at the University of South Florida confirmed there was a bomb threat at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.

Campus police said the threat came in to the main switchboard.

Police searched the building at 12902 USF Magnolia Drive. The search of the hospital was completed at 9:40 with negative results.

There were no evacuations. Moffitt has since resumed normal operations.

The USF Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
