The boat crashed into the Sunset Grill about 5 p.m., causing part of the restaurant’s roof to collapse. No one inside the restaurant was injured.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue officials say the building was evacuated.

One person on the boat was taken to the hospital. Another person drove himself to get treatment. Officials say the injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating. They say the boaters had been fishing and were returning home when they got lost in the fog.
