Afield: $10 Billion, 10 Years to Address Mental Health Issues in USA

TAMPA BAY – Dr. Walter Afield has battled mental illness in the USA his entire medical career. He is Harvard and John Hopkins trained and the original founder of USF Medical School in 1970.

“Its more than frustrating, its horrible. I wanted to be a doctor because i was interested in the subject.” Afield said when asked if he is troubled by America’s world number one ranking of mental illness. “Businessmen came in and destroyed the medical industry.”
