Tampa: Fire Rescue Responding To House Fire

arch 21, 2014 at 0326 hrs. Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to a reported structure fire in a duplex located in the 8100 block of N. Semmes Street.

First arriving firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from one of the units.

Firefighters rapidly made entry to the involved residence and began working to protect the neighboring unit. Both units were found to be unoccupied at the time firefighters arrived on scene.

The fire was declared under control at approximately 0420 hours. There were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians.

The cause of the fire is actively under investigation by Tampa Fire Marshal investigators. Tampa Fire Rescue responded this call with approximately 30 firefighters from Sulphur Springs, North Tampa, East Tampa, Seminole Heights.
