Tampa Councilman Organizes Rally for Trayvon

17-year-old Trayvon Martin was killed last month in Sanford by a neighborhood crime watch volunteer, George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman has claimed self-defense and has not been arrested.

Trayvon was not armed.

Tomorrow, a Tampa city councilman is organizing a rally to support the family.

Councilman Frank Reddick, has scheduled the rally to be held at the 34th Street Church of God, at 3000 N. 34th Street in Tampa.

The event will start at 6:00 p.m. and members of Trayvon’s family will be there and everyone is invited.

Rev. Thomas Scott, pastor of 34th St. Church of God, is expecting hundreds at the rally.
