Tampa Bay Weekend Weather

The onshore winds will once again bring a few scattered showers along the coast this morning and then have them more concentrated inland this afternoon.  The rain chance is a bump higher than yesterday at 40% and will remain that way through Saturday.

By Sunday a cold front will approach the area and scoop up some of the moisture associated with the remnants Isaac.  It does not look likely that that system in the Gulf will strengthen, but it does look like it will bring us higher rain chances on Sunday.

The front will move through the area late Sunday with a wind shift to the NW then NE on Monday.  Showers will taper off later Monday with only small chance remaining.  The front will bring breezy NE winds Tuesday and Wednesday, but it will not lower temperatures.  Highs will remain near 90.  It will however bring slightly drier air with dewpoints that drop 4-5 degrees.  It’s a small dip, but combined with a nice breeze you should feel the difference.  It’s a little too early to get a good push of cool air in here, but hang in there it’s not far off!

Today: Partly cloudy skies with scattered showers along the coast this morning then more widespread inland this afternoon.  Rain chance will be 40% with winds WSW 10 mph and a high of 89.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a stray coastal shower 20%.  Winds light with lows in the mid 70s.

Weekend: Partly cloudy to start with scattered storms developing.  Rain chances are 40% on Saturday then ramp up to 60% by Sunday with the front moving through.  Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90.
