Suspensions After Tampa Teen Jail Escape

Four employees at the privately-run Tampa juvenile jail where two teens escaped last weekend have been suspended without pay.

The four include three youth care workers and a supervisor.

The suspensions come after 18 year old Anthony Bays and 17 year old Anthony Cook cut through a chain link fence at the center and ran away on foot.

The teens were in detention for grand theft auto.

The center houses and rehabilitates “high-risk” male offenders between 14 and 18 years old.
