Plant City, Florida — Delicious food, entertainment, and rides kick off Thursday at the Florida Strawberry Festival.
Open through March 10th, this Tampa Bay tradition celebrates Plant City’s status as the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World.
Gates are open each day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the midway opens at noon on most days. Various entertainers and shows go on all day long, with headline concerts set for 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. daily.
Tickets at the gate are $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12. Children 5 and under get into the festival for free. Throughout the festival, you can buy discounted tickets at Sweetbay Supermarkets, saving you $2 on adult admission and $1 on child admission.
This year’s Florida Strawberry Festival headlining entertainers include Foreigner, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, Scotty McCreery, Bret Michaels, Blake Shelton, and many other performers.
Admission to the headlining music shows requires an extra ticket, available here. All shows will have a section of free first-come, first-served bleacher seats, but expect them to fill up fast for the top names.
