ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) _ Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash and a series of early-morning shootings in St. Petersburg.
Police spokesman Mike Puetz says it’s not clear whether the incidents that began about 2:17 a.m. Wednesday are related.
At the first scene, officers found an unoccupied car that had been struck by bullets multiple times.
About 3:45 a.m., the officers were flagged down by occupants of a stretch limousine with two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
The men were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Others inside the limo told police that someone in a black Chrysler 300 had shot at them.
As police investigated, they found a man in the Chrysler who had been injured in a shooting.
A short time later another man arrived at a hospital with bullet wounds.
