The pilot of a small plane that crashed in Lakeland Monday afternoon is hospitalized with minor injuries.
The plane went down just east of the Lakeland-Linder Airport at Pipkin Creek and Village Roads.
It slammed into a boat but missed nearby homes.
No one on the ground was injured.
Federal investigators are on the scene looking for the cause of the crash.
